I wouldn't be too concerned, the place you bought it from should have a record of your warranty.

Microsoft re-newed the warranty for every X-Box 360 by another year, like a the beginning of the summer, like May or June. My warranty would have ran out over last Christmas and just today I am sending it to have it fixed.
