WOOT! Just remembered that today was the 4th and turned on the good ol' Xbox to see if the update was out yet, and sure enough, there it is. Can't wait to try the new .avi support out. Took a bit longer than it usually does to boot up, I hope that was just a 1 time thing... Hmn... seems a little bit glitched, no mater where I go, it takes MUCH longer to load than it used to... Especially when looking at someone's gamercard. hehe, looking through all Deathstrike's freinds.

Besides the long loading times, it looks better IMO. Major Nelson looks a lot differant than I thought he would for some reason...

The Xbox originals section looks cool, I want to buy 1 to test it out, but they're a rip off because they're expensive. Also, now instead of hitting start when you're watching a video, than hitting start again to pause it, you can just hit start once to pause it.

I heard that they took all the demo games off the compare games section, I'm going to go see if that's true. Nope, they're liars, they're still there... Oh well...

My final opinion of this update is that it's pretty cool, at first, it takes forever to load things, but once it's got it all figured out, it's pretty cool.

Yea I just got the update too. It looks pretty cool from the few minutes I was on. I hope they took the demos off the compared games list. Even the arcade trials you just download.

Now you can look at your friend's Friends List and see whose on or other people to add which is pretty cool. Lot of small but fun and unique features. I can't really test it out because I have the 3 red lights of death and keeps coming on and off.

I'm about to do the towel trick for the 3rd time in a month while I wait for Microsoft to send me a box to send to them for repair.

God, that sucks, right before christmas when the post offices are the busiest and nobody wants to work too..

Also, they didn't take the demos off the played game list. They're still there. I think that the reason I was talking about my xbox going so slow is because near everyone who has an Xbox is online and a lot of people are downloading the new games.

I have it too.

The dashboard fades when you launch a game, and new menus etc.

Apart from that, nothing too spectacular, except for the Divx support of course.

i will to download that update soon....considering i don't have highspeed that means ill have to do it at a friends house!! plus i havn't updated my system once since i bought it last november

lol, wow, you've have a LOT to upgrade than. Do you mean last month, or a year ago? 1 year ago, you'll probably have about 3 updates worth up stuff you'll be getting, last month, only 1 update worth of stuff, still it's stuff you didn't have before.

Oh and their is an about me, location etc in your gamer profile.

Oh and when going through the friends list, it shows their motto aswell.

Yup, there's a bunch of new features, mostly small little changes, but yeah. I noticed also that when scrolling through the friends list, the people come out at you more, and it's bigger than it was before. Also, if you're in a game and you turn off your console, it fades out.
