I might get it as well... I might get it for my PC. Than if I can't get Rock Band for Christmas, I'll get this for the 360 as well as some other games and just other random stuff.

Right well i have been playing this at work... we took a PS3 out its box and COD4 and set it up in the staff room to play... and i think its ok.

To be honest, i think the gameplay is too fast paced... as you all know i rather strategic entry etc, and storming in and shooting anything that moves (or dosent in some cases) just isnt really what i like.

Still... on a 12 inch portable TV the graphics looked awesome, so i can imagine what its like on a 30+ inch HD tv.

May continue to mess about with this game at work and i might buy it for the 360 if i have any money left after christmas (i know i wont).

Not all of the levels are run in and shoot type...one for example is when you are in camo gear and have to sneak through an enemy base unsighted, really loved that level. OK so not much strategy to the game but it kept me hooked to it, one of the best single player campaign's I've played.
I don't want to spoil it for anyone, so I wont tell you about some other levels, but some are great, they're not all the same. 'Death from above' is another of my favourite's, I'll leave you to guess what that one's about.

Sorry if it's already been discussed, but how's the online play? How does it compare to Halo?

BRILLIANT, the more you play it the more weapons you unlock, you can customise them too.
better than halo 3 IMHO as it's easier to use though there have been some server problems.
Also, everytime you are killed (I die a lot) it shows a replay of your death from the view of the person that killed you, nice touch I think, lets you find out about some good spots.

Better than Halo for just playing online by yourself. With guests online though, Halo still holds the top spot.

I still remember this one match and I chose my sniper loadout. I was prone in the grass, following this guy, when someone sprinted across the bridge right next to me. I hopped up, sprinted to him, stabbed him in the neck, then ran and went prone again. Guy didn't know what the f*ck went down - great laugh.

Hey, cool seeing you back online Constantine, where you been?

Anyway, CoD is nuts online. Like Od said, the more you play the better the game gets. You get more modes and guns and Perks. I'm liking the Saw with the scope. Makes killing pretty easy IMO.

Double Exp. weekends is pretty cool too, but it wrecks the servers. A little give and take I guess.
