Halo 3

Woot! I think I might be the first person on this forum to play it. I went to the midnight launch party at the gamestop I preordered it at. It was fun, my mom won $50 and I won a sticker... But hey, I got Halo 3. It's awesome from what I've played of it with my brother in the last 4 hours, some of the online game modes are confusing as fu**, but I'll get used to them eventually...

They've got a mode called Forge where you can go through and edit the levels, it's fun, you can grab warthogs and atvs and what not and drop them on people.

Overall I give this game a 9/10, it'd be 10/10, but like I said the game modes confuse me...

I'll post more information on it when I'm not so tired, it's 4 AM as I'm typing this.

I tried looking for 2 plasma swards so I could dual wield them, but I could only find 1 at a time.

Other thoughts: I really need to find/beat Halo 1 and 2... I have them both, but Halo 2 is lost beyond lost...

lucky you, do you reckon I need to play Halo's 1 & 2 in order to get the storyline or is it easy enough to pick up, I roughly know the story anyway.

Will be getting this game ASAP, it's released tonight over here, can't wait!

Heard the story isn't that hard to pick up so i say just go on wikipedia lol.

Early reviews of the game are looking good, even though it was soooo hyped up, I hope it will live up to its name.

Guaranteed there will be plenty of people to play against on Live

Well i have bought Halo 1 from ebay, so will be playing that when my college work isnt so intense.

I have never played Halo, and i want to experience the story grow over the 3 games. Plus i dont want to buy a £50 game that i might not like.

Better to waste £7 than £50.

LOL That's what I did for Resident Evil 2 & 3. I just picked up part 4 for cheap (it took forever for me to get around to buying it ) and I really like the trailer for part 5 so I figured it was time to get back into the series (I played through part 1 and Code Veronica).

I'd like to beat the first and second, even if I just beat it on easy to get the parts of the story that I missed. Like for example, in the first 2 minutes of Halo 3, someone isn't with them any more, and than I want to know what Master Chief did, or promised that thing that's not with them any more...

I made that as non-giving stuff away as possible... Anyone who's played Halo 3 would know what I'm talking about, but like I said, I don't want to give anything away...

Also, something I just remembered that I wanted to tell about is that you can jump REALLY high in this game, like 2 or 3 times the height of the soldiers. Is this how it's been in all Halos? I remember being able to jump high, but not this high.

Also, there's this weapon, it's AWESOME, it's a giant sward that sends people you hit like 20 feet into the air and takes away all their shielding so they die when they hit the ground.

You talking about that hammer thing? It's pretty cool... when you have it. The guys that wield it are a mother to kill.

This game is not a huge improvement in campaign mode from what I can tell so far. I'll play multi-player tomorrow with friends; I'm sure that'll be awesome. That's really all I do is play with friends. Campaign mode is boring in my opinion. I'll beat it real quick just to see what happens, unlock stuff, and get gamerpoints; after that I'll prolly never play campaign again.

dont think it even matters what the story is about, just go round and shoot the aliens, then go have fun on multiplayer, I've spent countless hours playing the first two games on multiplayer, don't think I even touched the campaigns.
