Default Online connection speeds....

Has anyone else noticed that some of the servers are starting to slow down now?

For instance COD3 used to be able to do a search for certain types of games and just join in to which ever one I want but now 90% are not availoable or could not connect etc. A few 'friends' have also started to notice this over the past few weeks too.
I was going to upgrade my internet line to some 'megadeath-light speed-go faster stripped' speedier thing but do not see the point if the servers are starting to suffer what with added users.... no matter how fast my connection is it will not help too much if the servers are pushed to their limit and above.

Your opinions are always eagerly awaited this end.

No matter whats going on with the servers, a faster internet connection would always help. I can't wait to go away to college, to take advantage of their 25 Mbps connection. =D

Hmmm, I was told that XBL dosen't use dedicated servers, you'd have to host your own game to play online...I'm guessing I was told wrong?

I haven't noticed anything wrong with the servers for Gears and Forza, I played Gears online all day long the other day without lag...

EDIT: Now that I think about it, I did get booted from a game a couple times, but that was just like 2 out of like 40 games.

No problems myself, or none that I noticed playing Vegas before my 360 f*cked up.

Yes, you are wrong. If you had to host your own servers, then what would be the point of paying monthly fees for live?

I only have problems with Forza 2, but i think this is a problem with the game itself as others have had problems.

All my other games are fine though. Maybe its the bad weather over in Canada mate
