Question Storing music on the hard Drive

So I have been able to stream music from my laptop to play through the 360, but how do I store music onto my 360's HDD? I just cant seem to figure it out.

I believe the only way music can be transferred is from a CD, as there is no option to copy from an external device or PC. Which is a pain.

so the only way would be to burn onto a CD first then is there an option to save directly from CD on the 360?

Why would you want to waste the hard drive space with music? I just plug my iPod into it and all the tracks are available in media player. The same can be done with any external USB storage.

Wrong. AAC tracks won't play, and neither will tunes bought from the store. Basic MP3's and whatnot will, though.
