I hope it works out for you in the end.
Also, just wondering, but do you have a wal-mart or Target in the UK? I use wal-mart when I need to get something to fix my thing of that thing(IE, get a PSP to fix my broken PSP) Than I use target if I want to keep it because they've for a 3 month warranty If I'm buying used, than I'll go to gamestop though because I've got a 10% off card.

I've been out of town for the last few days and haven't had a chance to get online, but I when I just read your post Pagnell, my heart skipped a beat.
 I feel really bad for you, I had a feeling we were jinxing something or someone's system just talking about the RROD. Hopefully it gets resolved soon.

I don't know if anyone said this already, but the price-drop's official now. Not much of a drop on the Core, but the Elite's a bargain (so is the premium, but the Elite's the better deal in my opinion).

The Elite is soon to be $450, the Premium is soon to be $350, the Core is soon to be $250. Than when the Halo 3 360 comes out, that will be $400, it's basically a premium with a different paint job and a little bit better accessories that come with it.

I just read here: kotaku that the newer premium systems have an HDMI port.
This kinda makes me feel sorry for the people that recently bought an HDMI-less premium for $400 instead of a newer one for $350. Microsoft should have made some sort of announcement or at least let people that recently purchased their 360 exchange them and get the cheaper and better system.

The Core's $279.99, Premium is $349.99, and the Elite's $449.99. It's on the official website....
And I have no regrets about getting my 360 at the time that I did. I didn't want to wait that long just for a $50 price drop.

Got my 360 back or should I say I got a 360 back. Seems to work fine and looks brand new - not sure if it's actually a new one or a refurb. It had all the labels on it though, including the see through protectors they put on the IR lens.
Fingers crossed I don't have any problems.
