Default Gears on PC

I ran across this article earlier that talks about how Gears of War will be coming to the PC. I don't have a 360, so this will be awesome for me cause I played the game at my cousin's house and fell in love with it. I was almost ready to buy a 360 just for this game, but now it looks like I might not have to.

I don't have a 360 either, but I don't care for Gears of War. I played it at my friends house a bunch of times, never actually liked it.

OH! I'm going to go to the store that Ashley got his Japanese jetski from and buy Gears when it comes out for sure, that game's awesome.

Oh yeah, I've got a gift card, it shouldn't be too expensive, maybe they'll give me an even better deal since I got Gears for the 360 too. Hey! I can play with myself! hehehe jk

It looks awesome.... a video from the E3 show has Cliffy B himself demo'ing the pc version... it is different from the 360 version... different single player missions too... I believe more missions and some sort of editor etc etc.....

Sweet, I'll DEF be getting it, I can't wait for it, it can be one of my first real PC games!

Just like the Hills Have Eyes 2, I want to see it, but I'm not going to till I get my new computer and use TVersity(App for the PC that lets you watch any codec of video on the 360) to watch it.

does anyone know what kind of specs will be required to run it? I'm tempted with a laptop and want to know if it will handle it.

As with most PC games you will need highend graphics card and fast processor let alone fast memory and fsb etc etc.... to run it at the decent speed... oh and not forgetting a decent monitor too...

I adore pc's... and I would always pick a pc over a console anyday... I used to build and rebuild my pc's each and everytime a new this or that came out... in the end I would pay a company to build me the mega machine for the time... initially it was Carrar Systems then Alienware Area 51.... each time cost me a bundle but each machine would last a few years before it was considered not cutting edge anymore... I would put up with driver hassles and all manner of problems associated with this not talking to that component... spending money after money on the latest this and that.... then I moved to Canada and left my Son with all the goodies.... here my girlfrienbds pride and joy is a beat up old Dell pc... but it's hers so replacing it is kinda awkward and I do not want to hurt her feelings. I still needed my game fixz and as my xbox in the UK was always a giggle (same as my PS) I initially bought a PSP and then the 360.... You know what a joy it is NOT to have to worry about drivers and upgrading etc... just put the disk in and away you go.... no set up and reduced this or that as the latest drivers are not out.

I still miss the raw power of my Area 51 monster machine but do I miss all the hassles associated with cutting edge gaming on the PC... HELL NO.

So back to your original question..... your laptop will run the game no worries I am sure.... if it will be able to run it good enough to play it is another question :?

My PC will be for a non-crashing (well less than this one) machine that i can do my work quickly and not waste hours watching the "program not responding" message.

May try a few games for it, im sure it will handle them
