"It has been confirmed, sorry to upset you." Sorry to upset you but it looks like you're wrong Pagnell. The rumor is not true. The magazine you quoted took news about MGS2 being ported from the PS2 to the Xbox from a 4 year old article and just changed it around. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news for you 360 fans. If you want MGS4 you need a PS3.   Quote:
I'm tired of people trying to spread rumor this time and time again when Kojima has repeatedly denied it. Even if it does get ported (which it won't) it will happen much later (like a year later) and it will not effect the impact it has on the PS3. So let's just let this die.   |

We shall see but it does seem the article is not too reliable then. However, it is worth noting that, while they have yet to officially confirm the game for the 360, they haven't denied it either. I am willing to bet the much larger userbase of the 360 will make Konami see sense and release it purely from a business point of view - why cut off a market share that is a lot bigger than the one you are planning to release it for?
Like I have said on more than one occasion on this very forum, I found the previous games in the series to be little more than nemerous annoying cinematic movies mixed with a mediocre stealth game with limited controls and camera angles so I can personally take it or leave it. I just found the article to be more than feasible considering it would just be another one of the many exclusives the badly selling PS3 has already lost.

Well, surprisingly, considering I have been playing computer games since about 1982, I like quite a few games. What I don't like much are games that rely more on an image and reputation than actual gameplay. Metal Gear Solid falls into this category.
It would still be a coup if it came out on the 360 as it is one of the few known exclusives the PS3 has left that can sell the console on it's own.

We'll see who has the last say so in regards to the MGS franchise - the creator or the owner. :? |

Personally, I couldn't care less if MGS went multiplatform, I more than likely wouldn't get it either way. If I were to get it and it did happen to go multiplatform, I'd get it for the 360. Not that the PS3 sucks or anything, but I like XBL and the points and what not better than the PS3's, for now anyways.
