At every GameStop I've been to the 360 has a wall, the Xbox has a little section of a wall, Nintendo has an entire wall, the PS3 has a little section, and the PS2 has, like, two walls.

 Sorry to upset you but it looks like you're wrong Pagnell. The rumor is not true.
The magazine you quoted took news about MGS2 being ported from the PS2 to the Xbox from a 4 year old article and just changed it around. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news for you 360 fans. If you want MGS4 you need a PS3.

March 5, 2003 - At the end of 2001, one of the biggest titles to be released for any of the current generation consoles was Metal Gear Solid 2. As the follow up to the blockbuster smash hit PSX title Metal Gear Solid, it went on to sell extremely well and be played by many PS2 fans. However, sole owners of GameCube and Xbox would have to do without it. Fortunately, Konami wasn't completely blind to the fact that more gamers deserved to play the epic title, and it released Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance for the Xbox a year later in November 2002. This came with new content additions including VR missions and other bonus gameplay like Snake Tales, which lets you go on more objective-based missions -- some quite lengthy. So, there's no question that Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance comes packed with more content than the original MGS2 on PS2.

Seemingly, the Xbox Metal Gear would have been the one to buy, but Konami responded quickly by releasing the slightly beefed up

So there you have it .....this is as fake as it gets.

I'm tired of people trying to spread rumor this time and time again when Kojima has repeatedly denied it. Even if it does get ported (which it won't) it will happen much later (like a year later) and it will not effect the impact it has on the PS3. So let's just let this die.

We shall see but it does seem the article is not too reliable then. However, it is worth noting that, while they have yet to officially confirm the game for the 360, they haven't denied it either. I am willing to bet the much larger userbase of the 360 will make Konami see sense and release it purely from a business point of view - why cut off a market share that is a lot bigger than the one you are planning to release it for?

Like I have said on more than one occasion on this very forum, I found the previous games in the series to be little more than nemerous annoying cinematic movies mixed with a mediocre stealth game with limited controls and camera angles so I can personally take it or leave it. I just found the article to be more than feasible considering it would just be another one of the many exclusives the badly selling PS3 has already lost.

Well, surprisingly, considering I have been playing computer games since about 1982, I like quite a few games. What I don't like much are games that rely more on an image and reputation than actual gameplay. Metal Gear Solid falls into this category.

It would still be a coup if it came out on the 360 as it is one of the few known exclusives the PS3 has left that can sell the console on it's own.

I agree with this point of view 100% It is interesting that to note, however, that although Konami hasn't denied a 360 version of the game, Kojima has gone on record numerous times saying that the game is a PS3 exclusive.

We'll see who has the last say so in regards to the MGS franchise - the creator or the owner. :?

Personally, I couldn't care less if MGS went multiplatform, I more than likely wouldn't get it either way. If I were to get it and it did happen to go multiplatform, I'd get it for the 360. Not that the PS3 sucks or anything, but I like XBL and the points and what not better than the PS3's, for now anyways.

Dude, just sell your PS3. What does it have, anyways? Nothing.

It's got a few good games, I think that it'll probably have some better games later on.
