The phrase 'achievement whore' is a phrase that has been banded about lots

I get a game and I finish a game... I get achievements for doing so... I 'normally' then move onto the next game as I feel playing a game to the extreme just to get some weird achievement is down right bloody silly.
The closest I have ever come to hunting down all of the achievements has been on Crackdown.... but most of them I am not bothered in. Some people have played games online for hundreds of hours just to get a 50point achievement for killing 10,000 online opponents!!! well woop-de-doo :P

I will continue playing the games I enjoy the way I enjoy them and if the spin-off is that I have more achievement points then sopme people then tough hehehehehehehehehehe
That's the point of games... you get out of them what you want to get out of them.

When I get a 360. There'll be some achievements that I'll get just because they're easy, but if it is like Killing 10,000 people, I'll probably get that one after a while of playing online, but I won't make that my life until I get it.

... and that is the way to play....

The achievement system does add something to game play thats for certain but it can also detract from the fun too.

The only game that I've ever played to try and get EVERY achivement on was Gripshift for the PS3, man, that game made me have some MAJOR cuss fits. I don't play much for the 100% part of the game.

Also, ARGH! I can't find my extra PSP batteries, I've got 2 around here somewhere and I'm going on a trip tomorrow morning, I NEED to find them!

Well i would like to say that i just smashed the hell out of my controller because of crackdown.

Those street races are a pain in the arse. But i will win every race in every car, its fun but expensive at the same time :?

hahahahahahaha place a couple of pillows in the corner of the room and when the urge (reade rage) takes control throw the controller at the pillows

Must admit the street racing is a pain.... some of the silly barges they expect you to race with are horrible and one slight mistake and your at the back of the pack again.

Keep going Kev.

am I right in thinking after reading this thread that I can just plug any USB keyboard into the 360 to type with? would save a lot of hassle, the on-screen one is annoying
