thinking of coming into the xbox community

does anyone know the release date of the elite in the UK?

I was just thinking about that the other day, when it being released in the US too?

I can't answer your question as I don't even know the Us release date. :P

EDIT: Okay, I googled it, it came out here, today, April 29th. UK is sometime in November possibly.

Well, if you are interested in the elite because of the HDMI cable, there is no point. Not only is it an outdated type (version 1.2 compared to PS3's 1.3, I don't know what that means, so don't ask me), but as far as I have read there is absolutely no difference between running it on component or HDMI.

600000 GBs. It beats the hell out of the 360's puny 120 gig. :lol: jk, my real answer is, 60

But you could put up to 750 GB(highest tested) in it if you want.

In my opinion for a console:
20Gb = too small
60Gb = A fair amount
120Gb = Plenty but I doubt I'd use it.

For a PC on the other hand I'm always short of space (and I have 2x250Gb HD's >_< )

That is a very good point. If this is the first 360 you are getting, then go for it, because the 120 gig HDD by itself is far too expensive.

I disagree with you Cabe. Although 60 gb does sound like a lot, its not, and it will be filled up. But that is not a problem because the PS3 supports any standard laptop HDD, so you don't have to buy just their product. TAKE THAT MICROSOFT!!! - Sorry for my little fanboy outbreak.

You might want to hold off buying the elite with this coming in the summer. I find it kind off weired how much microsoft is changing their system. Do they feel that threatened? Its kind of a bad thing for the fans, because they can't keep buying a new system every time it comes out.

The price for ANY of the 360 hard drives is bloody silly over priced....
Will be getting a 120 gig as and when I need it... which won't be long.

As for a black sexy looking elite... one can buy elite face plates etc already hehehehehehe
