As far as I know, the update for 1080p was last year. Too bad there aren't much people that can test it, since most only have 720p or worse. Do some research online on Xbox fanboy sites, I'm sure they will know what to do, and if they don't, tell your friend to make sure his TV supports 1080p, because the screen going black when changing the settings points towards it not supporting that resolution.

No, his T.V. is definitely 1080p, he just bought it and it has a huge sticker on the front that says "1080p".
He still hasn't sorted it out, but he doesn't mind playing his games on 1080i, he isn't a screen resolution freak or geek or whatever, he was mainly curious why it didn't work. I don't think he'd be able to tell the difference if it wasn't for the T.V. telling him it was 1080i. :lol: :lol: :lol: |
