Yeah, Sony's always been quiet, the PS3, I can't even tell it's on most of the time it's so quiet. Really the only time I've been able to hear it is when I'm ripping a CD.

Yep, did that with my Oblivion disk - made a hell of a racket and I thought I'd f**ked up my drive. Took the disk out and the whole of the outside rim was scratched to buggery - naturally it didn't work. I was lucky as I had bought it pre-owned a couple of days before and managed to get them to swap it.

Well my 360 just scared the pants off me.

I was playing rainbow six vegas, well i was boosting for 5 hours but anyway. All of a sudden it makes this really loud vibrating sound, like the hardrive has just fell apart or something.

Im like, sh*t, i go over to it and to my relief its my other controller balancing on the edge and touching my wall making the sound. Took it off and now under my TV.

I left a damp patch i think.

Had a small problem with mine when standing up occasionally. Sometimes, normally after I have moved it in some way, the DVD draw will refuse to open. It will start and then stick as if it's struggling to open about 2mm out then give up and close again. This doesn't seem to happen when it is placed on it's side so I will now leave it like that which isn't a problem anyway as it fits into my cabinet better. I can't be bothered sending it away to be fixed as it's not a major issue because when it does it a quick touch with a finger nail makes the draw come out.
