I'm not really playing either ATM. However, in the last month I've played Halo a LOT more than Gears.

i havent played gears in a looooooooong time

im currently getting my assed whooped by just about every captain and lieutenant in the country thanks to my gunnery sergeant

Im playing gears again, im gotting better, noticing some of the techniques people use with the shotgun etc.

Shotgun: aim for the head
Lancer: aim for the head/upper torso
Longshot: headshots (obviously) get actives (waste ammo to have a constant active up)
Pistol: blindfire into the person then charge and melee to down easily

Defensive tactics--
Against lancer: the a button is your friend. dive, dive, dive, dive!
shotgun: not much you can do. melees help if you get the chance, other than that run, call for backup, or try to brave it
longshot: don't walk in straight line/standstill/blindfire against it. dive around, slowly making your way towards it. when you get close, watch out for the melee
pistol: not much...don't get shot.

its weird gears of war was the main reason i bought a 360 and still six months later i still aint got it lol found some other great games though

I got Gears and Forza 2 the day that the first PS3 price drop was. I took my PS3 back, got a new one, and than got those with the extra $100 for my first 2 games.
