Lol, how did i know you would be one of the first to reply to this.

I hope its true as i was saying to MB, the whole DVD thing is the 360s biggest downside IMO.

Even if it's true, I highly doubt MS would put games on Blu-ray, that would really segment their market.

Although, considering they sold out their consumers before with the original Xbox, who knows?

DVDs aren't bad, however, this will allow for less encryption in the games, and thus, less loading times. Even if it is true, I won't get it unless my current 360 dies. *knocks on wood*

I wonder if this will make it any quieter? I know that my 360 is LOUD (Mine's gotten MUCH louder recently, probably a bad sign, but it seems to work for now) when playing a disc, and I also know that the PS3 is silent, even when playing games. That'd definitely be an upside to this rumored hardware change.

Also, Vamp, how would that segment their market? And what are you talking about selling out on the original Xbox?

If they started selling 360 games on Blu-rays, then there would be a huge population of (current)360 owners that wouldn't be able to play them, thus they would cut the potiential market for a Blu-ray released game by however many people that own non Blu-ray playing 360s.

As for selling out the original Xbox owners, I meant that they rushed the 360 to market to get a head start on this generation and they stopped supporting the original Xbox, thus leaving the owners of the original without new games to play. This is different from what Sony did, they still support the PS2 to this day.
