Wait, does that mean the TV connection is done via the USB port? In that case TV output should also work with the original PSP if you have the right cable, sweet.

Looking at the new PSP I wondered where the AV out was, putting it through the USB makes sense and plus it means people with the original PSP can enjoy this feature.

What is 791 playing? 791 is playing Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops.

seems like a worthless feature to me, PSP are PORTABLE! if I want to play games through my TV I've got a wii and I would have kept my PS2.
OK so maybe you could plug it into an In-car screen, but the whole point of the PSP was gaming on the go.
I'd like to see some sort of HDD in the new PSP, then it would be worth it (so long as it was homebrewable)

Imagine those graphics, on your tv? C'mon people, it would be terrible. The native res of games isn't built to be played on a tv.

Actually, I wasn't exited about the UMD part of playing onscreen, I was more exited about the emulator/homebrew side because I could play pretty much and console only having to hook up 1.

Where'd you get this info from? From everything I've read the cables connect to a new version of the headphone port that has new pinnage. :?

that particular footnote is actually referring to the new PSP's ability to charge through a PS3

You can turn your 360 on with your PSP? How about your TV?

Also, I was thinking on the walk from my dad's house to my mom's house, I wonder if coders will use the new PSP's 64 MB of ram on some releases of homebrew and than make a dumbed down one for the original PSP, or if they'll just continue making them for the original PSP, but it'd be compatible with the new PSP? Some homebrew could be awesome with the extra RAM, if I'm correct in thinking that's why some emulators are held back.

Also, something that would be cool that I just thought of is a clickable analogue stick like you press down on it and it's another button, like how the PS3/PS3/360/everything else with an analogue stick does...

EDIT: Anyone notice that there's like 20 threads about the new PSP?

Anyways, I was thinking, with the new PSP, would it be possible to have a DS Emulator?

I since the DS only has a D-pad and 4 buttons and L/R, like the PSP, but the PSP's got an analogue stick, crap... My plan fell apart as I typed it, if the PSP has a clickable analogue stick, than you could use the stick to move around on the screen, than click it to select, that would be cool...
