Well according to the PSP....it has a wireless card built in. 802.11b if I'm not mistaken. That means it will work on all B and G rated wireless routers. B routers are the first of their kind, so the data transfer rate is slightly slower then that of a G router and the distance will not be much difference. So I would say you could feesably connect to your wireless router at 500 feet away however signal strength would be suspect. As far as PSP to PSP....I'm not sure but I'd have to say it would need to be a little closer. This ofcourse is all speculation...none is really a fact.

It stated up to 100 feet for PSP to PSP. not PSP to wireless router. The wireless router is the device that determins ability to send and recieve strength and distance since it has better reciever and transmitter for wireless transmission. If it has the same capabilities as a wireless 802.11b network card, then yes it would have the capability to talk to a router up to 500 feet if not more.

For those who do not have wireless routers.......it will not have a range at all. It won't sync up to your router.

The range seems to be pretty good. I live in an apartment just off campus and the PSP picks up more WI-FI routers than my computer internet card. I have no connectivity issues with it and I share internet with my next door neighbor.
