What? Must've done a horrible job with the security on v3.00. Shouldn't be that hard to hack, I'm guessing.

$10 says SONY releases a 3.03...then 3.04....then finally a 3.05 until they get it right.

P.S. Does anyone have a clue as t what they are doing wrong?

think its worth sticking with 3.01 until they have an update that actually has a point... incase someone manages to hack it?

Ummm...yea. Most definately. SONY's little "security updates" aren't worth the five to ten minutes they take to download and install.

I had to update to 2.81 today for gta vice city stories, only from 2.8 so not as though i had devhook available for me.

I'm running GTA VC through Dark_Alex's 2.71 SE-C firmware. That firmware is the best thing ever released on the PSP. All the advantages of 1.5 with the ability of 2.71 firmware. And with Devhook 51 Beta, you can trick the PSP into thinking it is running 3.01 firmware.

Yes but getting down to 1.5 from 2.8 would be a tad tricky at the moment :lol:

I never did get into all the homebrew things so I've always downloaded the newest version. I have 2.81 because of Vice City like kevin.
