Ummm...yea. We already knew this is what happens when you send your PSP's to SONY for a repair...

Noticed I warned someone on another thread that sending in their bricked 1.5 would mean SONY would return them a 2.8+.

Well I was more reffering that in stores they are now sending 2.81.
So if you plan on purchasing or perhaps a friend they might want to wait.

Wait for what? A later firmware to come out that will be even harder on homebrew... :?

All we can do now is try to find a box in the store that doesn't have an L on the UPC. The only thing is...in most stores you don't even have access to the PSP boxes. You get whatever the guy behind the counter gives you.

Well than look at the box, and than if it's an L, ask for one without an L on it... Most places I know of will do that, if they don't refuse to buy it, than they should... I wonder what'll happen when they have 26 FWs, they'll run out of letters than...

Yeah, I sent mines in anyway (I had the bricked PSP) I mean, it's better than nothing. I think i'll just sell it. I mean, I already was ablt purchase an already downgraded PSP, so it's not that big of a deal.

Yup, got it today (fast turnaround) and it is 2.8, not 2.81.

When oh when are they gonna come out with a downgrader for 2.8?

And as soon as they release one, do yourself a favor and don't rush to the site and try it. I'd give it atleast 2 weeks to see the amount of bricks it's had.

SONY, would definately suspect something in that case,
