WHENS VERSION 2.72 OUT - PSP-Forum.com

Is just me or does nobody now when the next update is.

Just had a really quick look and there doesnt seem to be any date for its release but maybe someone on here might know a date??

You are assuming it is going to be called 2.72. The next update will be released when Sony has something worth adding or a security loophole is discovered that needs to be filled. I would expect it within a month.

I know, I got all excited when I went to network update and saw 2.71 was available. It was pretty pointless to even update.

When the update goes only .01 up (2.70 to 2.71 or 2.71 to 2.72 in this case), it usually doesn't do much, just like Pagnell said, probably a security update :?

There were a few features added in 2.71. From what I understand, 2.71 users can now download game demos on their PSP from the built-in browser. There was also a minor fix for the location free player; JAP PSPs got a new feature called P-TV, which is some sort of pay service for renting videos or some such.

If it weren't for Loco Roco, I'd say that updating to 2.71 was totally pointless :lol: ....being I have no use at all for the LocationFree Player

there isnt a reason to update the psp for that they could have easily done that without a fm update they no doubt fixed some exploit that they found
