I won't deny that there were probably some security-related fix, but there were announced features. I think it was more of a big deal in Japan.

they should have a version that isnt just + .01 to like 2.72 but like 2.80 or 3.00 or somethin like that i mean really :shock:

possible digital camers usage
ps1 games downloadble soon from main playstation site.
Runescape functionability some time laterr due to some updates, for keyboard,mouse fuctions. more reasons later.

Sony is going to make anyone who isn't willing to update go through HELL to use any new accesories...i.e. digital cam :wink:

I would guess that he was referring to the downloadable demo, which did require 2.71. Sneaky Sony.
