Why do you say this? I personally have no desire to know what speed the CPU is running at in commercial games as it is irrelevent. And on homebrew it is generally set by the user so you will know what speed it is set at.

only if they tell you the speed. And i wish they sold an external battery charger for the psp so i could like charge 2 battaries and swap them out.

Only if they tell you the speed? I have no idea what you mean by this. The CPU frequency of commercial games is irrelevent as there is nothing you can do to alter it so why would you care what speed it runs at? And homebrew is either fixed (but in every case you are told what it is fixed at so can decide if you wish to use it) or you can set it yourself as an option.

The reason that they have restricted the processing power if because the PSP has no cooling system, thus overheating would be a bitch

Most handhelds don't, to conserve space and power. Can you imagine how big the PSP would be if it had a cooling fan? And how bad the battery life would be if it had to run it?

No it wouldn't overheat! It was because the battery life, as short as it is now, would be even shorter with the extra processing power.

yeah I doubt it would overheat that much, im gonna have to go with the (battery isn't good enough side)

it is designed to run at 444mhz although they made the revisionto the cpu to make it 333mhz and lower the heat output to 3%
