I'm not sure if or when we'll ever see the PSP making 100% use of it's processor. If the reason that the PSP is limited is due to battery life issues, then we're going to have to wait for a better battery. Then companies will need a significant proportion of gamers to buy the new battery to make it worthwhile to make games for 100% processing. Otherwise they'll be a lot of gamers moaning about 1 hr battery life dor the latest games. Surely this will split the market and companies will continue at 66%?

It has been announced that the game will decide on the processor usage. The first game that will use 100% of this cpu power is going to be Gran Turismo Mobile. This will ofcourse make the power brick sell off of the shelf.

Yeah. I know. The PSP's CPU has a clock speed of 333MHz. It's actually more powerful than the PS2. 333MHz vs PS2's 295MHz.
Cool huh?

Most of the homebrew emulators now include an option to set the CPU at either 233, 266 or 333mhz.

I can confirm this - Before the launch of the PSP, Sony used to have a range of PDAs called the Clie series. Two of the last models to be launched (The UX50 & TH55) featured something called the Handheld Engine - this was a custom built Sony processor that adjusted its speed based on the tasks it was required to do. As a result, battery life was significantly improved. I suspect that the processor in the PSP is an updated version of this.
