i just read on a site tht they might be dumping UMD's on psp2 plz tell me this isnt true :shock: there's the site

sorry my head is up my bum i was gettin confused with the mp4 format o well im not botherd if they dump umd's then as long as they keep the mp4 player its ok

i feel the umds are good but "solid state" storage is better ie no moving parts but is more expensive. I will not be buying a psp2 anyway so it dosent bother me.

maybe I'm out of the loop, but the way I understood it, there will be no psp2. in fact, it is only the psp with some added features (internal camera, internal mic, internal mem). this being so, how would it be possible to dump the UMD?

i think it will depend on what size Sony want to make the PSP 2..

if they are going to have all of the additional features that "salad as a rock" mentioned i.e. mic, camera etc, will they have enough room for internal memory? or does UMD take up more space than that?

they will also need to think about what size internal memory you would get and how to get games onto it....
