Default UMD player?

I was told by a friend that a umd player for the tv is this true?

sony will not release UMD burner becoz tat sony afraid the games will be pirated.
NO BURNER,NO PLAYER(exept PSP)

He makes no mention of a UMD burner.

As to the original question there will be soon an available addon that will allow the PSP to plug into a TV and therefore allow a UMD movie to play on a TV. This will not overcome the problem of it looking a bit strange as the screen format will be PSP size.

I am sure that's not PSP size literally on your TV screen... not 3" x 2" in the middle of the screen :lol: but letterbox window format... so unless you have a widescreen TV it will look kinda squished :?

Well that's my thoughts on what Pagnell was trying to say eh? 8)
