I was under the impression that you can hook it up to a DVD,DVR(Tivo),Cable box, and watch anything on any one of these devises. It says this in the info on Sony's web sight for it! I might be wrong but this is what I gathered from the info.

I don't know what bigdrift is talking about, you can just have the cable for you tv plugged into it and than you can watch live TV, you can also watch things that are saved on your computer, but you don't even need to have it plugged into a computer to work

Yes Nando-fish2 that's what I thought, but I still need to know if my wife is watching something do I have to watch what she is watching or can I change to a different channel? Also Is it worth $350.00 or should I wait and see if the price drops a little?

Frank the base unit has IR blasters built in so you can control multiple a/v components.Including TiVo and cable/sat whatever system you are running. So it depends on your system setup at home.If you have one cable box or a TiVo you are stuck watching whatever one would be watching at that time. But if you use TiVo to go you can access your PC and watch any of your recorded streams from there I believe. You could also purchase a second digital box and run a splitter that way you could always change the channel and be watching whatever you want.Same if you have multiple Sat recievers.Series 3 TiVo will come with 2 cable card slots on board so you can record and watch another channel at the same time.
