Default TROJAN.PSPBRICK VIRUS!!!

www.pspbrew.com has released an update stating that a certain group has release a virus called Trojan.PSPbrick which can prevent your PSP from restarting.

This is because it deletes 4 files that are essential to your PSP. You won't even be able to use the Downgrader. For more information see pspbrew.com.

I always said to myself, if a person ever made a virus for the PSP, I'd pluck his eyes out with a dull object...

Also as a warning, don't download anything suspicious to your PSP. Make sure that it is 'legitimate' and if you can, get a 2nd opinion on it. (It's called Trojan.PSPBrick so I'm assuming that it will try sleazy methods of getting you to download it)

Shawn2005, I guess your prophecy was right.

Well, And I thought I had seen it all! Once I asked something about virus and that stuff and I thought my PSP was completely safe from that kind of crap. Now, i`m gonna pay attention to what you say, and check the source twice.
By the way, I`m ****ed off, why do they want to brick PSP's? Damn

its obvious why people would want to brick PSP's its sont thats made this virus im mean cum on think about it, sony are on this massive quest to stop homebrew, iso's, and downgarding, so all they have to do is create a virus, get it around the net and make people **** themselves about homebrew etc. dont you think its rather convinient that sony just brought out the new 2.1 upgrade that has anti virus stuff ? hhhmmmmm..........
i mean the people who made it were called team psp !

It's such a shame, theses days there just too many people out there that take pleasure in ruining things. It's all very petty and small minded

Just one quick note. This seems to be more like malware than a virus. You would have to download the prog and run it on the PSP for it to "work", also, once the PSP is dead it can't even attept to pass itself on.
Just a little tech trivia.

The moral of this story is, ALWAYS MAKE SURE YOU ONLY RUN PROGRAMS FROM A TRUSTED SOURCE

That's what they want you to do, but the sweetest fruits are always at the top of the tree...
