When i downgraded, instead of using the 1.5 eboot thingy, i used Dead to rights to make it 1.5. Heres what i did. i put everything it says to put on the MS. then i opened pics like it sayed. i waited 30 seconds and restarted. Then when i turned the PSP back on, it said the version was 1.0. But i still had the features of 2.0. Is there sumtin to that? maybe it just said it was 1.00 and it was really 2.00 i dunno. nut anyway so i tried to run the update thingy but it was corrupt so i just did the 1.5 upgrade that was on Dead to Rights. All is good. But i'm still wondrin if its possible to have the Psp at 1.00 but have the capabilities of 2.00. Mine said it was 1.00 but i tried the web browser and it worked normal. Anybody wanna expirament w/ this and see if you can run homebrew at this stage?

This sounds very interesting, playing hombrew and using the browser on 1.0, that sounds cool

Like someone else said, the instructions before the use of the eboot just make the PSP THINK it's ver.1.0. That's the reason you can upgrade to 1.5

I did it also and it worked.

some notes I would like your comments on

after copying the required file and turned it off and back on and it said i had to upgrade it to 2.00, while the shown firmware was 1.00.

I have checked the back file and it was on the root so Ive launched the psp updater 1.50 from the game menu and it started.

several times it told me my battery level was too low, even if i was using also the power adapter, after charging the battery, it worked further

at 99% it crashed the psp asking me to contact sony...
and i had to remove the battery and reboot it and ive seen a multi-language error screen, asking me to press the circle button, i did it and reboot it again.

<POST EDITED> - DO NOT TALK ABOUT USING ISOS ON THIS FORUM. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED (PAGNELL)

Alright! I've decided to downgrade to 1.5!!!

Here's what I'll get:

Smashpack Personalized
SNES emulator
(?) Maybe a GBA emulator

Uh... Anyone know a good homebrew browser?

So why not just leave it at that stage and have a Psp with 2.00 capabilities but still play homebrew? Anyone tried this?
