V2.0 -> V1.5 Downgrader Thread.

when i come home, i downgrade

If by that you mean an original 1.5...then no, as far as I can tell this will turn your 2.00 onto a 100% 1.5, so the two are essentially the same

i got a couple of questions?

5) Copy over to your PSP the following files to THIS location in the root folder...NOT in the PSP folder or any other folder. Index.dat and h.bin should both be in your root directory.

should there be a index.dat and h.bin files already in the root folder. as theres only sub folders when i open the root folder?

Now, go back to the PSP directory and go into the Game directory. If there is not already, create a folder called UPDATE. It MUST be called UPDATE and nothing else.

theres no game folder when i click on the psp directory, should there be?

would it matter if a jap psp was flashed with an american v2.0 firmware?
i can't remember what patch i applied to it...


anyone have links with stories about ppl bricking their psp's after doing this?

I upgraded to the japanese version 2.00 long time ago, and yesterday I downgraded. After that I did not know were I could find gba roms so I upgraded back to 2.0, it worked perfect, but then I got bored so I downgraded it again, I didnt hesitate and when it was complete I had a version 1.50 psp, meaning mine didnt brick. I am thimking its alright to upgrade then downgrade and over again, but I am not sure, it worked for me, I probably wont do it anymore, just maybe though.

Well I had a 1.52 Jap PSP and upgraded it with the american 2.00 upgrader and now I downgraded back down to 1.50. So it doesn't seam to matter

I don't think it would be too wise to do it multiple times. I'm pretty sure the guys who made the DG only intended it to be used once. Like a condom. I don't think the DG has been throughly tested for long term side effects. Like a condom, or the lack of one.
