I'm thinking of getting a wireless router but i aready have a adsl modem for my pc. i would like to use my psp and laptop on the network but i was wondering if you have to connect the router to any computer, wirelessly or wired, to set it up. i know it would take a long time because of the psp's text entry but could you set the router up through my psp?

Default TRouble connecting

I'm having trouble connecting with my psp, i get the errormessage: A connection to the access point could not be established. Check the security settings for the network an try again.

Does anyone know if there is a port or something you have to open in the network, I have tried everything else with the same result. And I know that I have the right settings on my PSP. I've tried it on other networks with success but not on my D-Link 624+.

I used to have a DSL modem for my Verizon connection, before I got the new Fiber Optic stuff. While I had that modem, I also had a D-Link Super G Wireless Router. The Router also acts as an access point, and to make the router work with other computers, you either need to directly connect PCs to the back of the router, or buy wireless cards specifically made for that type of router and install them on the PCs.

You can only set up an internet connection for your PSP with your PSP. The router installation and all that has nothing to do with the PSP itself.

How are you trying to connect to the internet? Do you have a wireless router?
