But exactly the same applies to car drivers; the majority are safe and consider other people. You also have to consider that an idiot behind the wheel of a car is going to be more obvious than an idiot behind the bars of a bike purely due to the size of the vehicle. You don't agree and that is fair enough but I have been driving for 17 years and in my experience the ratio of idiotic bike riders is no better than car drivers. My beef is that bike riders seem to think blaming all their problems and bad habits on 'metal box' drivers is an ok thing to do. Well, whatever makes them feel better but it shouldn't fool anyone who has been on the road for more than a few years.

That is because most bike accidents was the car not paying enough attention. Sure we filter through traffic, so would car drivers if they could, and sure we dont really stick to the speed limits and neither do cars, the main reason a biker is knocked off is normally both their faults. i.e. filtering is illegal, so is pulling out all of a sudden with no indicators, or opening doors without even looking.

All i can say is, all you car drivers, get on a motorbike go ride around in london somewhere, ride normally in the centre of the lane and to the speed limit, and i bet you you wont get through london without having to brake sharp is swerve out the way because a car (as they asways say) "i didnt see you". Why is that i wonder.

We will just have to agree to differ on this. I have rode bikes and driven cars for years and can see both sides of the argument. However, I maintain that bad bike riding causing accidents is in a lot of cases unjustly blamed upon car drivers because, well, it's an easy and expeced thing to do isn't it?

Anyway, lets get back on topic. And in reference to the other thread you replied on my name is Kevin
