New Advert confirms Sony PSP 4000

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe have today announced in an email this morning, a whole range of LittleBigPlanet merchandise that is set to be released this Winter.
To quote the email, “Snap up a whole sack-full of goodies including figurines, mugs, keyrings, t-shirts, hoodies and loads more, all featuring the loveable little character.”
Whilst we’ve only really seen a whole range of Sackboy figurines on retailers such as Play.com, we’ve picked up an advertisement displaying an upcoming LittleBigPlanet branded PSP Case and includes a set of stickers for you to customise it. The advert, from Accessories4Gamers Ltd., details that it is suitable for 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000 and PSP Go models too… wait… 4000?! Uh oh, seems like someone has maybe confirmed recent rumours too soon!
Accessories4Gamers have made products for previous iterations of the Playstation Portable, as well as the most recent ‘Go’ model, so surely this isn’t a typical print error. I guess it won’t be 100% official until Sony themselves reveal it, yet this pretty much outright confirms it.

Hope so mate but I doubt it. If the next PSP wasn't in the 1000 series then maybe but because it's labelled the 4000 my guesses is that it's just another makeover.

The onboard flash (so suspend) would be a great and easy feature to add. It would be nothing major but a nice addition. I am guessing there will not be huge changes though.

I imagine that "Mistake" was actually a leak, just like when John Koller counteracted all those "UMD-less PSP in the Works" rumors, then announced the Go months later.

It could have just been a typo, but I imagine it's more likely to be a leak of a model Sony's developing.

mmmm i think you are looking to far into this, while i do bellive sony are most likely working on another update to the psp hardware i don't think this 4000 is it most likely it will be an update to the go like a bigger memory or screen or both sony are looking to phase out umd so a new umd psp is very unlikely

    D: i think they're just teasing us

i doubt that a company as big as sony would make a typo like that.

as MB said before, because its labelled in the 1000's series, i think it will just be a facelift, no dramatic changes.

i think it's true.. but they said they're still thinking about it because of the coming psp2.. and i think even psp2 comes, they'll be upgrading it still like the old phat psp to the new fresh sexy psp slim to date. so... yeah, it's gonna take a lot of years..
