In the technology industry there are loads of different design concepts that people come up with.

Some of these get passed around on the net, some of them never see the light of day.

Before any new consoles are released say wii or ps3 or xbox360, loads of different speculated designs flood the net and gaming mags, but when the actual product gets released sometimes it's vastly different to what people were expecting.

This is thrown about intentially I believe to create rumour and gossip in communities, which is a form of marketing. marketers call this brand awareness.

I wouldn't be surprised if this psp-3000 never actually sees production.

I'm not as brave as you, so I won't be betting with my life, but I'm fairly certain it won't be put into production.

I dont know if it is u or if i am thinking of someone else But every single rumour or anouncement (I am thinking of Resistance on the psp Here) Has been posted in saying "It aint gonna happen" Ad if so Hehehe

U are not Quite TotalWise. I Bet anything that it will go into production. I will even bet my life too. And High Rollers life too. Just to raise the stakes a little

Agreed. Eventually there will be a new psp even if it is not THIS exact announcement but there WILL be a psp 3001
