Default Newb with a PSP....advice needed

Hey all. I'm new to the site. A quick background. Today is my Birthday, and my g/f got me a PSP (got it 2 days ago, heh heh). I was happy to get it!

Shortly after getting it, I hopped online and noticed this site. Great site by the way. Anyway, I see all this talk about downgrading the firmware so I can do Homebrew things. Sounds VERY interesting to me. But, I'm not sure if I am even able to. See, my PSP slim has firmware 3.93 already! It was 3.8 and I was foolish and updated it to the most current. Is there a way to downgrade yet? Please...any advice you may have is welcome! I'm lost at this point. Thanks much!

Hi and welcome to the forum.
The only way for you to downgrade is by using pandora battery.

Yes, I knew about this Pandora battery already. The only thing I was not sure about is being able to downgrade my firmware from my 3.93. I'm guessing by your post that this IS possible yet. But, the tutorial ONLY goes to 3.50, not as high as mine. Any suggestions, or do I sit and wait, what?

The tutorial only goes up to 3.50 because anything above that you use pandora battery.

Pandora battery will downgrade your PSP no matter what the firmware is.

You need to either make the battery yourself or like i did. Buy a datel tool battery. Then all you need to do is create the magic mem stick and you are away...
If you want you can add me on MSN and i will help you install CFW once you have the tools.. That is if you are actually going to do it...
