Slimp, 3.90M33, fake region and still no Skype icon ! - PSP-Forum.com

I just upgraded my slim PSP to 390M33 in order to use Skype. As it is a Japanese model (I'm leaving in Japan), I enabled the Fake Country to Europe. The Go Messenger icon appeared but still no Skype Icon....
Any advise ?

This might sound kinda stupid, but you're 100% sure that it's the slim you have? I know it doesn't show up on the phat. Have you looked everywhere in the menu?

It looks like it's under the network part(the one all the way to the right) make sure you look over all those, if it still isn't there, I don't know what to tell you...

Hi Bamhm182, Yes, I'm sure it's a slim (unless I'm even more stupid than I think...).
By the way, I just upgraded to 3.90M33-2 but, still, no Skype icon appearing.

I had the same problem. It's a bug with DAX's online updater. Do it the manual way (dl the firmwares and the installer and run from XMB)
