    Firmware Upgrade

    Hi,
I have recently bought two PSPs and I am totally new to them.
I gave one of them to a friend to upgrade who upgraded it to 3.10 OE-A.
I want to upgrade to 3.52 M33. How to do it?
Also the other PSP is version 1.5 provided by Sony. How to upgrade that to the same version?
    Thanks in advance.

Thats to upgrade to 3.71 M33, you need 3.52 M33 first, the link is in there.

You can upgrade from 1.50 so the instructions are the same for both.

I thought we can upgrade firmware through PSP itself. Is that not possible?

You cannot create a pandora battery, only 1.50 psp's or those with custom firmware can.

You can try upgrading to 3.50 and using lumines, click my sig for details of upgrading and downgrading.

    Still some problems

    Thanks all for the replies..
    I still face a problem..
On the custom firmware 3.40 OE-A, I don't have the GAME folder as GAME150. It is named as GAME folder itself. Do I need to make a change, or is it fine installing with the same name?

btw I upgraded the 1.5 PSP successfully.
    Thanks

Well, actually the GAME folder can be create on your own. About upgrading, i assume that u r totally new in this scene, so, to make it short, let me assume that u haven't touch the recovery menu, homebrew (yes, the apps u used to upgrading fall in this category) are set to run on 1.50 kernel on default, so to make it easy, just put the upgrader apps in GAME, this should run the apps in 1.50 kernel. Optionally, if u already tempered the homebrew setup in recovery to run on 3.40 kernel, than u should place the upgrader in GAME150, this will force the apps to run on 1.50 kernel. For me, to be on the safe side, just place it in GAME150, even the readme in the upgrader says so. I just want to help fellow friend understands about the folder functions. Good luck on upgrading.

    Please clarify some more issues

    Thanks for the guidance.
Finally, I want to get some more clarification. I don't need
to have any extra files (system files) which may have come when I installed 3.40 OE-A. I will create the Game150 folder myself. Place the upgraders in them. Go into the recovery menu and select the 1.5 kernel. Thereafter, install the upgrader.
    Anything else?

If u place the upgrader in GAME150, there's no need for u to change the kernel mode in recovery. It's already been force to run on 1.50 kernel. What firmware do u interested at? 3.52 or 3.71? If u want to upgrade to 3.71 M33, than u have to upgrade to 3.52 M33-4 first. If only 3.52, than, it's straight forward.
