Default Andy Mckee.

Been keeping an eye on this guy for a few years, in my view the best acoustic guitar player the world has seen. Unorthodox style and some quite eye watering ability. Check out these videos, both quite unique. The first one blew me away when I saw it and I have played guitar and bass for 15 years. The second one is amazing because he is playing a slap bass line underneath the main melody. Quite a few others on Youtube by him too if you want to look too including an interesting versions of Toto's Africa.

Damn! That dude's badass. I play the guitar too (no where near this guys level) and I really like seeing true masters.

I like how he plays with his left hand over the top of the neck in the first video and plays almost like he's playing piano.

In the second clip I like how he keeps the beat of the song as he plays by slapping the strings.

*sigh* If I only had natural talent like that.

It's called tapping. I can do it but nowhere near as well as him.

well I haven't seen the vids but I can guess the one's you're on about, a skinhead guy playing with the guitar on his lap in front of a crowd, quite a nice song. Seen them and think it's marvellous, would love to be able to play like that

Search in youtube, spoon guitar sliding

That third song you posted was very peaceful, Pagnell. Thanks for sharing these with us, I'm a huge guitar fan and I think these are awesome, I had never even heard of Andy Mckee before.

I was browsing some of the other clips from him and wanted to share the link to my favorite one so far (I hope you don't mind Pagnell, if you do I'll undo it).

It's a cover of Africa, my favorite parts are when he plays with just his left hand and keeps the beat with his right hand.

Anyway here it is.

This is my fav song by him, my friend can play the whole song and he taught me the intro, its hard but I love the way it sounds. My friend introduced me to him about a year ago and since then I have always been amazed by the way he plays the guitar.
