Whoa... I was just reading up on the different ways of doing this and read in a few places that depending on the camera you get and how long you charge the flash (5 seconds usually does it), these have the potential of killing someone!

They can deliver around 300-400 volts! (read on one site something about 7,000 volts, but I find that hard to beleive)

I know my shock lighter runs on one AAA battery. They have a copper wire coil which (I think) doubles the voltage every one time it is wrapped around. My lighter has like an inch of coiled wire and that thing is STRONG! I've been hit by a 120V electrical socket before and I'd say that the lighter is worse.

In school, we'd get like 5-10 of my friends and we'd all hold hands and make a complete circuit so when I touched the bottom of the lighter to the kids' hand next to me, we all felt a tingle.
