I don't really know as well as some of the older members of this forum would, but it's changed a lot in my lifetime, I got my old Dell built in the 90s and compared it to the custom rig I just built, it blows it away. It's like putting Einstien next to a "mentally challenged" person(my step-mom hates it when I say retarded) and comparing the two. My computer's good computer's not working right now because the video card I had in it SUCKED so I had to exchange it, and newegg is processing the order, but right as soon as my 7600GS video card comes in, I'm gunna be back on the good computer. This computer starts freaking out when I type, because I'm a fast typer and then it's a retarded computer, so it freaks out.

my first actual pc i got when i was 14 or so, was a pentium 133mhz, with 24MB RAM (upgraded from 16), a whole 1GB hard drive and i payed £400 for it!

heres something to think about, computer technology doubles every 6 months or so (summit like that, my IT teacher told me)

wow, so in about 10 years, my computer that I just built is going to be like my old dell. I guess if I keep XP, than it will still be really good, but odds are that I'm going to be upgrading or building another computer in that time.

in 10 years i reckon digital media will be in the form of a credit/swipe card, with a holograph inside.
Games, music and DVD's will be replaced by a card the same size as a credit card, which would be inserted into a reader.
This card will hold over 100gb's

thats my guess though
