I saw Superman twice over the weekend and thought it was absolutely brilliant. It stayed with the original superbly and the casting couldn't have been better. Granted there were a few dodgy bits but I eagily look forward to the second one.

Quite how anyone could say it's 'very poor' is completely beyond me. People who aren't big fans of the original due to being too young I expect.

totally agree! saw it last night and thought it was brilliant. Few dodgy bits like you said, the whole reference to Superman being the saviour like Jesus was over the top along with really extended (they were needed for the film but dragged on abit) soppy scenes. Overally really enjoyable.

Wow, the COMPLETE opposite of what I thought your opinion would be. I, for one, thought it was terrible. There were only two good action scenes in a SUPERMAN MOVIE, the plot was ridiculous, there were multiple points in the movie that had NOTHING to do with the plot/progression of the story itself, and wtf is up with the kid. I realize that he might be trying to set up a second one, but for god's sake - all he did was throw a piano and huff medicine.

Oh, and not to mention, it's ridiculous when Superman get's hurt and they put him in a DIMLY LIT hospital room, and freak out when metal needles break on his skin. He's SUPERMAN - he needs SUNLIGHT.

As you said, completely the opposite to your opinion. Virtually everything you say I disagree with. Apart from the hospital bit. I'm a little unsure what you wanted the kid to do? Don some tights and fly around perhaps.

Horses for courses but I am a bit bewildered how anyone could refer to it as terrible.
