I have a question, i have a friend who has a VHS tape that is in PAL format and it will not play in a NTSC VCR. I'm goign to Spain in 12 days and i know that they also run in PAL so i am wondering if i buy a VCR that is PAL and plug it inot a TV that is NTSC, will i be able to see what is on the VHS tape, or would i also have to have a PAL TV to view the tape?
If anybody knows that would be great... Thanks! |

Virtually every new VCR and TV will play both PAL and NTSC and swap between them automatically. Certainly my TV and VCR can anyway as I have a few old imported US VHS tapes which play fine. Your friend was unlucky in that his VCR isn't one of them.
