i dont know, but 100s of students at my school use some time of p2p program and nobody has been caught. i have probably downloaded around 200 or 300 songs along with a lot of videos and i havent got in any trouble. every once in a while ill get rid of limewire for a short period when i dont need it then i download it again.
you shouldnt be so nervous about it, you will most likely never get caught. if you dont feel comfortable with it, then dont dowload it, just copy other peoples cds or just buy them. or you could upgrade to a premium version, i think that makes it legal i dunno. |

I got semi-busted once, and it wasn't even my fault :|. I was downloading an emulator I couldn't find anywhere else, and within the next few days I got a letter from my Internet Provider saying that I illegally downloaded "Mean Girls", and that if I didn't delete the file they were going to puch charges.
I, of course, was like "wtf?!". I found that the .rar file that had my emulator in it had a portion of that damn movie in it. I deleted it right then and there, and called my internet provider to explain. They didn't really care, but I didn't get sued or anything. Good story. Constantine

hmm... I agree but be fair warned when using Kazaa because they seem to have the most problems with getting sued.........and LMAO Limewire wants u to upgrade to a "premium" version but it doesnt tell u for what purpose your upgrading...I mean it doesnt go and say so u can download illegal music quicker...lol sneaky little *******s...well anyways dont worry about it and NO IT DOES NOT take away from sales...if it does it doesnt effect the sales...and also if u really like the music most people buy the cd's anyway.......pffffff....

I've had limewire for almost two years and it has not giving me no problem at all, I think that, that is the best P2P sharing system ever, I've used others, but limewire always seemed simpler than others

to some its bad, which it is i suppose. but to others its the best thing in the world, though its illegal. some people just know its wrong and there's a chance of getting in some trouble and avoid it. us p2p users are not doing the right thing if you really think about it. WWET, im assuming, is one who is against it (by not using it) and theres nothing wrong with that.
