French PS3 price.

Numerous french websites are reporting that Sony France boss George Fornay has commented on a French radio staition that the PS3 pricing will be in between 499-599 Euro's, this equates to around $613 USD - However the pricing in USD is nothing to go on, it's just a currency conversion and it does not mean USA get a more expensive console for a change.

Referring purely to the price, this isn't good news. If this is accurate, the PS3 will be out of reach for the people it will most appeal to which is bad business on Sony's part.

aw man, thats crazy. its like everytime i hear news about the ps3, its about the price... *sigh* its going to cost so much, i hope they wont cost that much in the US

Well, at the moment it's the only thing about it that's worth talking about in my opinion. That will change as more details and proof of it's power imerge as we close in on the release date.

Actually, that would be expected. With all the **** they're adding to try and "beat" the 360, there's no possible way they could have it cheap without taking the biggest hit in history.

The price will be settled not up to 500USD for it comes at the end of this year. The blue disk costs so much, months later, the total cost is gonna dive. That is the strategy SCE ever used.
