I started with the Commodore Vic 20, offered by my parents as a christmas gift with an alternative choice of a tin of roses chocolates. It was a close call but the vic 20 won through.
What emulators do you use? I love the idea but the set up puts me off. i'm a bit lazy on the techy side. |

My list of computers is long and varied.
1 ) Commodore PET (this was my dad's back in 1979 or 1980 I think) 2 ) Commodore Vic 20 3 ) Commodore 64 4 ) Amstrad CPC (was given this - not as good as the 64!) 5 ) Amiga 500 6 ) Amiga 1200 7 ) PC (I think this was 16mhz 286 in 1993 or 1994) 8 ) PC (Pentium 100 with 8mb ram and 730mb HD - cost me £1800 in 1995 :lol ![]() I have owned PC's ever since - about five or six since my P100 about 11 years ago. As for what emulators I use - PSPVice for C64 emulation and Castaway for Atari ST emulation (as close to decent Amiga emulation you can get at the moment.) I also use a bit of Snes9x for the PSP and Dgen if I'm in the mood.

Constantine, 10 years from now, some 14 year old kid is going to go:
"Are you ****ting me? 2GB RAM, 400GB HD, HT tech, Pentium 4 laptop for $2000?!?!?" to you...

That system was as good as it got back then, other than maybe a bit more ram. There was no such things as 3d graphics cards and as the Pentium 120 was a few months off being released the P100 was as fast a CPU you could buy. And £1700 is a lot closer to $3000 than $2000.
