Default Auto or stick??

I've always liked auto.. I remember my ex tried to teach me how to drive his stick
(and I realize just how dirty that sounds lol) anyways he tried to teach me on his car and after about the 15th time of stalling his car.. that was the end of my lesson. Now, I've been forced to drive a 05' Kia Rio after I crashed my Accent and learn stick all over agian.. AGHHHHHH!! I think it was just annoying. Actually, after awhile I started to have fun with it.. stick is fun! What do you people prefer?

Depends, over here in the UK if we are sitting in the worlds largest car park(traffic jam on the M25) then an auto would be better as riding the clutch is demanding. But for performance/fun manual is by far better.

I would like to have what most supercars have the quick shifter controls on the seering wheel. They look cool but top gear says most of them dont work as hoped for.

My first car was an auto. Boring! lol
Then I got a stick. Much funner to drive.
My girlfriend wants to drive it to school sometime but I told her she has to learn first, which I have a feeling won't be anytime soon.

I like both but I prefer an auto... as Kev said in traffic jams you just can't beat an auto.... but for blasting around the twisties then obviously a manual is prefered.... my car has the best of three worlds.. no thats not a typo... My car has a great auto box and a gear stick for when I want to play a little and then I can select triptronic mode and by tapping the gear stick left or right it changes up or down in an instant.... it has an auto clutch so no pushing pedals and such.... but that means no fun with clutch riding etc.... in full auto mode the box adjusts to my style of drinving too... so Sunday morning lazy drives the gers change up at low revs... giving a smooth quiet drive.... but give it stick and the gear box changes up much higher in the rev range and slams you into the seat more..... so I think on reflection I like MINE more... hahahahahahaha

I had a Auto Triumph Acclaim once (same car as a Honda Accord) what a horrid little car that was... in the wet the round thing that you turn (steering wheel) was a waste of space.... the thing just went straight ahead at any sped over 30mph (which took some 3mins to achieve).

hahahahahaha yes guess I am.... but to be honest my car is nothing special.... just that cars here in Canada/America are aime more at comfort than at practicality back in the UK.

I can't drive stick, I can drive auto though, even though I'm not supposed to be able to drive either.

Auto for me. It's far easier to doze off into a quiet sleep than manual.
