Default Olympics 2008

The opening ceremony of the Olympics in Beijing will be held in theBeijing National stadium , and begin at 8:00pm CST (UTC+8) on 8 August 2008 The choice of date and time (2008-08-08 8:00) reflects the fact that the number 8 is considered lucky in China.

Just watched the opening ceremony and its was fantastic, they must have worked so hard for it.

So come on then, who's gonna win the Olympics?

I know nothing, I dunno who's good or bad apart from that Great Britain are crap but that's about it lol.

Not me, if any other country was hosting it id be glued to my screen. Communist assholes. Theres a lot to be desired when progress comes at the price of many equally valid human lives.

Enjoy the games

Must admit I am SHOCKED that China is osting the games... this is ranked just as high as the Berlin games prior to WWII with Herr Hitler watching from the stands. Two week prior to the games and during the games all newspaper articles that were anti jew were banned just to make the visitors believe that Nazi rulled Germany was a beautiful place.
The human rites issue along should be enough to have stopped the games in China.
Just had a guy go to China for work... rural China... came back with stories of corruption you would not believe... parents paying teachers to up their childrens marks... and that was just excepted as the norm.

RANT MODE OFF

Earlyish? 5? I'm guessing you mean PM because ish and 5 AM don't go together.

I'm content to say that I missed all of it. Only thing I knew about the olympics this year is that they were in Bejing, and the only reason I knew that was because of Mario and Sonic go to the Olympics for the DS.
