im looking to install a new air intake system in my 2001 Chevy Blazer 4x4. ive been reading up on both cold and warm air intakes, but im not exactly sure on which one to get. as far as i can tell they both increase the effieiency of the car and increase gas mileage, but the warm air decreases power and the cold air increases is. is this really true? im leaning towards the cold air but i dont wanna make a bad decision on it

As far as i was aware, warm or cold air intakes is depending on NOS, i think that affects it. Im not too sure on temperature of air intake that increases performance.
Only logical explanation is that cold air is more dense and therefor carrying more oxygen providing better ignition. Im not a MASSIVE mechanical wizz kid but umm, id say go for the cold air intake. OOOOH and a turbo lol or supercharger *drools* Kev ![]()
