I find the whole thing that gamers should be young males fat pimply masterbating nothings that giggle when they hear words like nipple and thighs.... what is that stereo typical image from.... I've never been pimply (hahaha).

You get the picture.. I am considerably older than most of you peps and were playing games back in the late 70's and have been ever since. I find it amusing that people find it weird that an older guy with a life plays games. I also play chess and drink expensive whiskey and vodka... but thats acceptable.

I have just hired a young lady on my shop floor as a general labouror... shock horror a female in my line of work is unheard of... but man she works hard so she has the job... she was freaked when she over heard me talking to some of the lads about GTA... she thought it cool that her boss was a gamer.

My seven year old daughter is now an avid gamer and her eleven year old brother is too. But not in a bad way. Xbox, playstations, lynx, ds lites etc are just another plaything for them... another means of entertainment. My son loves to read and I have encouraged that big time but he also loves to play his Dad on the xbox... I think that is way cool. An entertainment medium that can join all age group.... obviously the wii is doing lots in this area but we all need to have an open mind about gaming and the age levels involved... including girlies that rock on Gears etc.

Anyway I ramble... if you fit into the stereo typical gamer geek at the beginning then good for you.. but if your like me considered unusual to be considered a gamer then more power to you.

Is there an echo in here......

To answer your question.... not long at all.. but perhaps a little longer than it would take to ban you for 48 hours

The mere point you posted that reply means you missed the point. Still perhaps you fall into the first category

Now if you want a complete biography just ask and I will be sure to write it in un-joined leters and add lots of pictures for you too

No real shooting down intended just a come back that should be seen as it was intended... humourous.

Now where was I... oh yes.... Japan aged five climbing Mount Fuji with my Father... while nursing a gammy leg that I got when I was attacked by a mountain hog who took accepteption to me being nosey about her set... it was 5am in the morning and the climb had begun... tourists were not heard of then and we were breaking so many rules but what the hey you only live twice.... twice you say... well thats another story that is covered in chapter 34 entitled 'The day I was electricuted by a Scorpion tank while shipping arms into Afghanistan for the fight against the Red army'... back to chapter 4... so at 7000ft we noticed that the sacred mountain was not going to be kind with regards to the unseasonally bad weather. We had to find shelter in an abandoned temple and dig in for the day and night as the white out from the snow storm was just making any headway impossible. Still it gave us the oppertunity to exploy this three roomed ancient temple. The main chamber was hewn out of the living mountain and the two anti rooms were of stone construction.
The main chamber was about 15ft deep into the mountainside so it was free from the wind and biting snow. My Father lit some tilly lamps which he had packed in true boyscout fashion and we both settled down to exploying this carved out temple.
On the floor at the farthest end was a large flat stone that looked so much out of place you were drawn to it. The dust was thick all around and this, my Father pointed out was due to these types of temples being sacred and off bounds to all, we both crouched down and examined the perculiar large flat stone. My Father tapped it with the base of a tily lamp and the sound came back as a hollow thud.... 'a passage' he said. We both bussied ourselves with clearing away the dust and debris from around the stone until we found the pry slot... this is where a bar would be placed to lever up and move the stone. We both hunted around to find a make shift pry bar and my Father reached into that seemlessly endless rucksak of his and produced two tent poles which he quickly connected together and placed in the pry hole.... some creaking and groaning later (and not all from the flexing tent poles) the stone slab started to move... and with each 2" the door moved it revealed yet another pry hole carved into the stone door frame. Some ten mins later the door was open enough to allow my Father and me entry into this dark subteranian world. The steps down were very roughly carved as well as the walls, as though this pasage was just built for a purpose and not just as a show of might and awe as in the temple above. We decended some 30ft before the light from our lamps picked out the brief outline of a corridor heading off to what looked like another chamber... the parculiar thing was that this distant chamber seemed to be illuminated from within. My Father gestured that I be silent and he produced his browning revolver and we creaped inch by inch nearer the light source. We put our lamps down and got very close to the entrace to this chmber. As our eyes grew accustomed to this subtle light we could make out a very large glowing......

Oh sorry gents am I rambling again.....

LMAO that's great stuff.

On the topic of non-typical gamers, the older I get the more I find that it's hard to find people my age that are still into games. I remember when I was young almost everyone was into Nintendo, but now I only have about 3 or 4 gamer friends that are my age. The rest are a few years younger. I think it's a shame.

As for me, from womb to tomb, I'm a gamer 'til I die.
