Default Storms

Hope you guys back home in the UK were ok in the storms last night and this morning.
My ex.missus just rang and told me that my kids are fine and apart from debris no structual damage to the house at all.

Again hope you guys fared well also.

*puts some dry clothes on and a shower*

I'm alright, heard it was gonna be the biggest storm in the UK for donkeys years though. Didn't really effect my area.

My kids house in situated on the Southdowns so the 82mph winds kinda beat the crap outta the house.... my ex moved out of the master bedroom at the front of the house and into the spare at the rear of the house as she thought the front windows would be blown in.
I know that the storm was down graded from 100mph winds down to 80mph and the normally high spring tides were not as expected so that saved some serious costal flooding.
Structual damage has been common with roofs and trees being bent outta shape.
there is a video on the BBC website of a plane landing in these winds... it is flying sideways!!!!

What did a hurricane hit? And you guys are acting like 80-100mph winds is insane, down here in Florida a hurricane like that is considered nothing but a few shingles blown away and maybe a few trees blown over. Either way its good nobody here got hurt.

Do you have winds that pick you up? That seems like it'd be fun sorta.... Until you got smacked by a flying tree/car...

Sorry to hear about the storm, but at least everyone's alright.
