Just wanted to make a thread dedicated to a day we only see once every 4 years, February 29th. It seems bright and sunny outside so it should be a good day, besides, its Friday.
For some of you who may not know I wanted to give a short explanation on why we get an extra day added on every four years. You see, it actually takes the earth about 365.25 days to make a complete circle around the sun. It seems a lot easier to just count 365 days for 3 years, and then added up the quarters for an extra day during the 4th year. |
